Born in Mbarara.
Built to make Uganda proud.
Noxana isn't a product that happened by accident. It's the result of a chef who refused to accept that Uganda deserved anything less than world-class flavour.
A chef. A question.
A decision that changed everything.
It started with a simple, frustrating observation. In Mbarara — a city that genuinely loves food — the best cuts of meat were being marinated in products that were either imported, overpriced, or simply ordinary. Products made by companies thousands of kilometres away, by people who had never tasted Ugandan grilling culture.
As a professionally trained chef who had spent years understanding how flavour actually works — how aromatics bloom in hot oil, how acids tenderise protein, how layered spices create depth that simple seasoning can't — the gap was impossible to ignore.
So instead of complaining about it, the founder of Noxana built the solution. Months of recipe development. Hundreds of tests. A proprietary formulation that treats flavour as a craft, not a formula.
The result is Noxana Black Marinade — Uganda's premium answer to the imported alternatives that have occupied our shelves for too long.
"I didn't create Noxana to fill a shelf. I created it because Uganda deserves a food brand that makes the world pay attention."
— Ahaz Mugisha · Founder & CEO, Noxana Limited
Noxana Black Marinade. One product. Done exceptionally.
Crafted in Mbarara. Every single batch.
Built by a professionally trained chef. Not a corporation.
One bottle marinates dozens of meals. The results are permanent.
Every great brand
has a beginning.
This is Noxana's. We're sharing it because we believe the story behind a product is as important as the product itself. When you buy Noxana, you're not buying a bottle off a shelf — you're buying into a journey that is only just beginning.
Every batch we produce is better than the last. Every customer who orders is part of building something that will eventually sit in kitchens across East Africa. You're early. And being early with Noxana matters.
The question nobody was answering
A professional chef notices that Uganda's premium marinade shelf is empty. Everything worth buying is imported. The decision is made to fix that.
Months of testing. Hundreds of adjustments.
The proprietary formulation takes shape — dark soy, Worcestershire, bloomed spices, slow-simmered until the flavours unify into one thing. The recipe is locked and documented as an SOP.
Noxana Limited is born
The company is formally incorporated in Uganda. Brand identity, label design, packaging, and website are built. The legal foundation is laid — MOA, AOA, Shareholders Agreement.
20 bottles. The beginning of everything.
The first production batch is prepared. 20 bottles of Noxana Black Marinade go out into Mbarara. The market validation begins. You might be holding one of them right now.
Uganda. East Africa. The world.
Kampala distribution. Regional export. New product lines. A digital brand platform. IP licensing. Noxana is building to last — and to lead.
The principles behind every single batch.
We don't cut corners. We don't use artificial shortcuts. We don't compromise on ingredients because the numbers would look better. These aren't marketing words — they're production rules.
Quality Without Compromise
Every batch of Noxana goes through a documented quality check before a single bottle leaves production. If it doesn't meet the standard, it doesn't ship. Full stop.
Authenticity in Every Drop
No artificial colours. No cheap fillers. No shortcuts that sacrifice taste for margin. What goes into the bottle is exactly what you taste on your meat. Honest ingredients, honest flavour.
Ugandan Identity, Proudly
Noxana is not trying to imitate an international brand. It's building a Ugandan one — with Ugandan ingredients, Ugandan craftsmanship, and Ugandan ambition.
Innovation Rooted in Craft
We use professional kitchen techniques — blooming spices in hot oil, slow-simmering to marry flavours — not shortcuts. The recipe is treated as intellectual property because it is.
Trust Built Over Time
We're not promising the world on day one. We're making a product that earns trust one meal at a time, one customer at a time, one compliment at a time.
Growth With Purpose
Every bottle sold funds the next batch. Every batch funds the next expansion. We're building a business that grows on its own terms — sustainable, deliberate, and profitable.
To manufacture and deliver premium food products that elevate every meal — using authentic ingredients, proprietary formulations, and bold flavour — while building a profitable, lasting Ugandan brand that makes the world pay attention.

Why Uganda.
Why Mbarara.
Why now.
This isn't an accident of geography. Noxana is Ugandan by choice, by design, and by conviction. Here's what that means in practice.
Uganda's food culture is world-class
Roasted meat, fresh produce, bold spicing — Ugandan food culture has always had the raw ingredients for greatness. Noxana is the premium layer it was missing.
The market is wide open
Uganda's premium food sector is growing fast and massively underserved by local brands. The shelf space exists. The customers exist. The demand exists. Noxana fills the gap.
Mbarara is the right starting point
Uganda's second city is growing rapidly — middle class, food-savvy, and deeply connected. Validate here first, then scale to Kampala and East Africa. That's the strategy.
Africa is watching its own brands rise
Across the continent, locally made premium brands are replacing imported ones. Noxana intends to be Uganda's entry in that movement — and one of its most memorable ones.
You know the story.
Now taste the result.
Flavor That Rules — UGX 20,000
